I write to say that I received via mail today, your Safari in Classics 1 & 2. It is absolutely fantastic.

I come from Melbourne and first heard you on ABC Classic FM radio about 3 or 4 weeks ago when we were driving in the country. The piece played was Fields of Gold. It was just the piece to listen to at the time we were driving.

When I arrived home, I looked up the ABC website, found out the artist, looked for your website, sent an order and 10 or so days later the CD arrived at my address. The wonders of technology.

I have not heard both CD’s yet, but what I have heard has provided me with much pleasure. The selection of pieces and your style of playing touches my emotions. It certainly is a gift to be able arouse one’s feelings. You have that gift in spades.

Congratulations on being able to produce such beautiful music and for sending the CD so quickly. I know I will get hours of enjoyment.

My name is S---- P------ and I had the pleasure of hearing your music and meeting you at The Grafton Centre in Cambridge yesterday. I also had the uncommon good sense to purchase from you a copy of Safari in Classics, which my wife Becky and I have been playing ever since. It’s full of beautiful performances which reassure and surprise in equal quantity.

There is a terrible danger when happening upon a musician playing in a shopping centre, of just walking by or dismissing them because of the context. Maybe I’ve been guilty of this myself in the past but your music made that impossible yesterday. No outlet for great music (and on some occasions not so great!) is to be despised, but the truth remains; your playing is worthy of The Royal Albert Hall and I hope that those who have the clout to promote your music at the highest level wake up and smell the resin. (Is that a bit twee? Does resin smell? Heck, I don’t know!)

I also forget how the Albert Hall concert is panning out. Can you please bring me up to date? Am I right in thinking that it’s not going to be March 23^rd?

I hope to purchase more of your recordings in the near future as well as hearing you perform live at some time.
